In case you can’t tell, I really love that I have a baby cousin.
He looks rather confused/stoned/notsayingit’s aliens in this. It was at his ‘you have been born one month ago and can finally go out into the world’ dinner? I’m not too sure? It was a chinese tradition with pink eggs and such. There were a bunch of people and I’m pretty sure he was getting antsy by the end.
I got to hold him for a bit and managed to calm him a bit, though I think the pretty lights helped.
My mind is still stuck on babybabybabybabybabybabybaby.
Got back from camp today
So, it’s like a tradition in our school’s IB program to go to This place called Camp Elphinstone after exams and shit are done to relax and burn our crap in a big bonfire.
It’s in the islands somewhere(I’m not too sure where?, close to a ferry anyways). It was like a 45 min ferry ride and a 10-15 min walk (??? i’m shit at estimating time)
It’s a YMCA camp, which, unfortunatly seems geared towards the 13 yrs and under crowd, and to kids who don’t really know each other, which ends up with bunch of 17-and-18-year-olds playing name-learning games and team building games with people they’ve known for four years.
I do, however, really love some of the games (especially capture the flag) and had quite the bit of fun dicking around, no matter how tiring it was.
Kayaking and canoeing on the other hand, I didn’t enjoy as much. Or the long uphill walks to get around camp. Or the soreness afterwards. Or the fact that I seemed to catch my cold of the year and ran out of tissues on the first day and had to use stolen napkins.
We had a campfire, but Katya’s the only one who brought notes to burn. I got marshmallow in someone’s hair and on someone’s shoe. I managed to get some in my mouth, but it was in the minority.
All in all, good trip, but I don’t think I would do it again.
